Ingredients

Smoothie Base
  • 1 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 piece banana
  • 1/2 cup yogurt (any flavor, but vanilla works great!)
  • 1/2 cup almond milk (or any dairy-free milk)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
Toppings
  • as needed additional blueberries
  • as needed granola
  • as needed nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pistachios)

Method

Preparation
  1. In a blender, combine 1 cup of blueberries, 1 banana, 1/2 cup of yogurt, and 1/2 cup of almond milk. Pulse until smooth and creamy. If you like your smoothie bowl on the thicker side, you can add more yogurt or reduce the almond milk.
  2. Taste your smoothie base; if you prefer a sweeter flavor, add 1 tablespoon of honey and blend again until well incorporated.
  3. Pour your blended mix into a bowl. The texture should be thick enough to hold the toppings without them sinking right in.
  4. Get creative with your toppings! Place additional blueberries, a handful of granola, and a sprinkle of nuts on top. Feel free to get adventurous by adding seeds or shredded coconut!
  5. Grab a spoon and dig in! Enjoy your delicious Blueberry Smoothie Bowl.

Notes

You can customize the smoothie bowl by swapping blueberries with strawberries or raspberries. For a cooler texture, freeze the banana beforehand. Blend thoroughly for the best consistency.
