Ingredients
  

For the Pudding
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries No need to thaw if using frozen
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar Granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups boiling water

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Pour in the milk and vanilla extract, stirring until the batter is smooth.
  4. Fold in the blueberries and pour the batter into the greased baking dish.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the brown sugar with boiling water until dissolved.
  6. Carefully pour the hot water and sugar mixture over the batter without stirring.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and the pudding is set.
  2. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Feel free to substitute other berries if blueberries aren't available. Keep an eye on the pudding towards the end of baking to avoid overcooking. Dust with powdered sugar for an elegant presentation.
