Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 1 cup rolled oats Use regular rolled oats for best results.
  • 1 cup milk of your choice (almond, coconut, or dairy) Any type of milk works well.
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt Optional, for added creaminess.
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries You can use either fresh or frozen.
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances flavor.
  • a pinch salt Balances sweetness.
Optional Toppings
  • to taste sliced almonds Adds crunch.
  • to taste chia seeds For added nutrition.
  • to taste sprinkle of cinnamon Great for flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, combine rolled oats and milk. Stir well to ensure that the oats are fully soaked.
  2. If using, mix in the Greek yogurt for a creamier consistency.
  3. Add blueberries, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the mixture. Stir until everything is well combined.
  4. Divide the mixture into jars or airtight containers, and seal tightly. Place them in the refrigerator overnight (or at least for 4-6 hours).
Serving
  1. In the morning, give the oats a good stir. Top with extra blueberries or your choice of toppings, and enjoy cold or at room temperature!

Notes

Store leftovers in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You can eat them cold or warm them up in the microwave for about 30 seconds. If you need to freeze the oats, do so without toppings and add them when ready to serve.
