Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until coarse crumbs form.
- Add the softened butter and combine until well mixed.
- Reserve about 1 cup of the crumble mixture for the topping and press the remaining mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix the fresh blueberries with lemon juice and spread over the crust.
- Scatter the reserved crumble mixture evenly over the blueberries.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the blueberries are bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely in the dish before lifting out and slicing.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, substitute all-purpose flour with oat flour. Experiment with adding vanilla extract or nuts for extra flavor.
