Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk the milk, melted butter, and egg together until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Gently fold in the fresh blueberries, being careful not to crush them.
- Lightly flour your work surface, turn out the dough, and knead for about 2-3 minutes.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle (about 12×10 inches) with a rolling pin.
- Sprinkle the dough with cinnamon and brown sugar evenly, starting from the longer side of the rectangle.
- Carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Pinch the ends to seal.
- Cut the log into 1-inch thick slices and place them on a greased baking sheet.
- Pop them into the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- While rolls are baking, mix the icing sugar with a little water to create a glaze.
- Once baked, let them cool slightly before drizzling the glaze over the top.
Notes
Ensure to store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, microwave for about 10-15 seconds or reheat in the oven at 350°F for 5-10 minutes.
