  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 orange Zest of 1 orange
  • 1 lemon Zest of 1 lemon
  • to taste Blue food coloring (optional)
  • a pinch salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, milk, and sugar until the mixture is smooth and the sugar is dissolved completely.
  2. Stir in the vanilla extract, orange zest, and lemon zest.
  3. Add a few drops of blue food coloring and mix well until the desired shade is achieved.
  4. Cover the mixture and place it in the refrigerator for about 1 to 2 hours.
  5. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
  6. Transfer the ice cream to a container with a lid and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.

Notes
