Ingredients

For the tea
  • 2 cups milk (any kind, almond milk works too!)
  • 2 teaspoons butterfly pea flower tea
  • 2 teaspoons honey or your favorite sweetener (adjust to taste)
  • to taste ice Ice (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by bringing a cup of water to a boil. Once boiled, remove it from heat and add the butterfly pea flower tea. Let it steep for about 5-10 minutes until you achieve the desired color intensity, then strain out the flowers.
  2. While the tea is still warm, stir in the honey until it dissolves completely.
  3. In a separate glass or jar, pour in the two cups of milk.
  4. Once the tea has cooled, slowly pour it into the milk, watching as it creates beautiful swirls.
  5. If desired, add ice to your serving glass and stir gently for an extra refreshing touch.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy the captivating flavors of your homemade Blue Milk Tea!

Notes

For substitutions, feel free to use different sweeteners like agave syrup or maple syrup. To intensify flavor, let the butterfly pea flowers steep longer. Ensure you thoroughly strain the tea to avoid floating bits in your drink. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 2 days.
