Preparation
- Begin by squeezing the blood oranges to extract fresh juice. Set aside, making sure to strain out any seeds or excess pulp if desired.
- In a mixing glass, combine the freshly squeezed blood orange juice with a teaspoon of grated ginger, half a teaspoon of ground turmeric, and a tablespoon of honey or agave syrup. Stir well until the honey is fully dissolved.
- Fill serving glasses with ice cubes. You can opt for tall glasses for a refreshing effect or short glasses for a more intimate presentation.
- Pour the blood orange mixture evenly into each glass, filling them about halfway.
- Carefully add sparkling water to the glasses, allowing it to gently mix with the juice. Adjust the quantity to taste, based on how tangy or fizzy you want your mocktail.
- Decorate each glass with slices of blood orange and fresh mint leaves. Serve immediately.
Notes
For a deeper flavor, consider infusing the honey with ginger before mixing it into your drink. If you want an extra kick, increase the ginger and adjust the turmeric according to your preference. Storing without sparkling water in the fridge for up to 2 days is possible.
