Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the blackberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Gently stir to coat the blackberries evenly and let them sit for about 10 minutes to release their juices.
- In another bowl, mix together the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt. Add the cold, cubed butter. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Grease a baking dish and pour the blackberry mixture into the bottom. Evenly sprinkle the crumble topping over the blackberries, covering them completely.
Baking
- Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 30 to 35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the blackberries are bubbling beneath.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
Store leftovers covered in the fridge for 3-4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes.
