Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- Slice the brie cheese into even pieces for easy melting.
- Rinse the blackberries gently and toss them in a bowl with balsamic vinegar, being careful not to crush them.
Assembly
- Take two slices of sourdough bread and spread butter on one side of each.
- Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, in a skillet over medium heat.
- Layer on half of the brie, followed by the blackberries, and then the remaining brie.
- Top with another slice of sourdough, butter-side up.
Grilling
- Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until the bottom slice is golden brown and crispy.
- Carefully flip the sandwich using a spatula.
- Cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes until crispy and the cheese has melted.
- Remove from the skillet and let it cool for a minute before slicing.
Serving
- Serve warm, potentially with extra blackberries on the side for garnish.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in a skillet over low heat, covering with a lid to restore melty consistency while maintaining crispiness. Avoid microwaving.
