Ingredients

For the milkshake base
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream Use high-quality vanilla ice cream for best flavor.
  • 1 cup whole milk You can use alternative milk if desired.
  • 2 tablespoons activated charcoal powder or black cocoa powder Activated charcoal gives health benefits; black cocoa adds depth of flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup Optional, for an extra chocolatey flavor.
  • whipped cream For topping.
  • sprinkles or crushed cookies For garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a blender, add the vanilla ice cream, whole milk, and activated charcoal or black cocoa powder. If desired, drizzle in the chocolate syrup.
  2. Blend everything on high speed until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency. Adjust thickness by adding more milk if necessary.
  3. Taste the shake and add more chocolate syrup if desired for extra sweetness.
  4. Pour the milkshake into tall glasses.
  5. Top with whipped cream, sprinkles, crushed cookies, and a cherry if desired.

Notes

For best taste, serve fresh. Leftovers can be stored in a sealed container in the freezer for up to 24 hours. Let it soften slightly before re-blending for best texture. Experiment with flavor by adding mint extract or espresso powder if desired.
