Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned, crumbling it well while cooking.
- Once cooked, stir in the flour and cook for about a minute. Gradually pour in the milk, stirring until it thickens (about 3-5 minutes). Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- While the gravy thickens, cut the refrigerated biscuits into quarters.
- In a greased baking dish, layer the biscuit pieces and pour the sausage gravy over them. Optionally, sprinkle cheese on top.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.
- Garnish with chopped green onions if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
For storing, keep leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days or freeze for longer storage. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
