Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Open the package of refrigerated biscuits and separate them. Using a rolling pin, flatten each biscuit until it’s about ¼ inch thick. Arrange the flattened biscuits on a greased baking sheet, forming a circular base.
Cooking
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the beef sausage until browned and fully cooked, about 8-10 minutes. Break it into crumbles as it cooks.
- Pour the sausage gravy over the cooked beef sausage in the skillet, stir well until combined and heated through. Remove from heat.
Assembly
- Spoon the sausage and gravy mixture evenly over the biscuit crust. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese on top, and add optional toppings if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 20-25 minutes, until the biscuits are golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes, then slice into wedges and serve warm.
Notes
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze individual slices wrapped in plastic wrap for up to a month. Reheat in the oven or microwave when ready to serve.
