Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). If using homemade crust, roll it out and place it into a pie dish. For store-bought, just fit it into your dish.
Mixing
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth and slightly frothy.
- Fold the pecan halves into the mixture, distributing them evenly.
Baking
- Pour the filling into the prepared crust, spreading the pecans evenly. Bake for about 60 minutes or until set and golden brown. The center should jiggle slightly when done.
Cooling
- Allow the pie to cool for at least 2 hours before slicing.
Notes
Store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat individual slices in the microwave or warm the whole pie in a 350°F oven.
