Ingredients

Sauce Ingredients
  • 1 cup pure maple syrup Ensure it's high quality for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can be substituted with coconut cream for a dairy-free version.
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract Adds additional depth to the sauce.
  • ¼ teaspoon salt Enhances the sweetness of the sauce.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the maple syrup, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir to mix well.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat. Keep stirring until the mixture starts to simmer, which should take about 5 minutes.
  3. Once you see the bubbles, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for another 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Check for a slightly thicker texture; it should coat the back of a spoon. For a thicker sauce, simmer a few minutes longer.
  5. Remove the saucepan from heat and allow the sauce to cool. It will thicken as it cools.
  6. Drizzle the sauce over your favorite dishes and enjoy!

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. To reheat, warm gently either in the microwave or on the stove at low heat to maintain smooth consistency.
