- Begin by boiling a large pot of salted water. Add the macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Once done, drain the pasta and rinse under cold water to cool it down.
- In a large bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Stir until everything is well combined.
- Once the macaroni is cool, add it to the dressing. Then, mix in the diced celery, bell pepper, red onion, cheddar cheese, and peas if using. Combine everything thoroughly until the pasta is coated with the dressing.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least an hour to allow the flavors to meld together before serving.
- Remove from the refrigerator, give it a quick stir, and serve this flavorful salad chilled!
Notes
