Preparation
- Start by slicing your flank steak thinly against the grain.
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and ginger.
- Add the sliced beef to the bowl with the marinade and let it sit for about 15 minutes.
Cooking
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add vegetable oil. Once hot, add the marinated beef and let it sear for 3-4 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix cornstarch with water until smooth. Once the beef is cooked, pour the cornstarch mixture into the skillet and stir for a couple of minutes until the sauce thickens.
Serving
- Sprinkle with chopped green onions before serving. Serve it over rice or noodles to soak up the flavors.
Notes
Substitutions: Use sirloin or chicken breast if preferred. Keep a close eye while cooking to avoid overcooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator or up to 3 months in the freezer.
