  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet, milk, or a mix) Fold in gently.

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until fully combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips gently, ensuring they are evenly dispersed throughout the dough.
  6. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto your prepared baking sheet, leaving enough space between each cookie.
  7. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of chocolate sauce. For a chewy texture, consider chilling the dough for 30 minutes before scooping.
