Baking Process
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even baking.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter-sugar mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space in between for spreading.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set but the center is still soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. Enjoy warm or store for later!
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container for about a week. Freeze uncooked dough in scooped tablespoons for longer storage and bake directly from the freezer.
