Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes with an electric mixer.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Use a tablespoon or cookie scoop to drop rounded balls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.
Baking
- Place the sheet in your preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers are still soft.
- Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
- Enjoy your delicious cookies!
Notes
For best results, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking to enhance flavor and control spreading. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days, or freeze the unbaked dough for later.
