  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes with an electric mixer.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Use a tablespoon or cookie scoop to drop rounded balls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.
Baking
  1. Place the sheet in your preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers are still soft.
