  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
  3. Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix gently until just combined, avoiding over-mixing.
  4. Transfer the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly using a spatula.
Baking
  1. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
  2. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before slicing into squares.

Notes

For perfect brownies, avoid over-mixing the batter and keep a close eye on the baking time. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or refrigerate for a week. They can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
