Ingredients

Meat Mixture
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko) for extra crunch
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 cup milk

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing it.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, minced garlic, egg, salt, black pepper, oregano, basil, and milk.
  3. Mix everything together gently until well combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  4. Shape the mixture into round meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are browned and cooked through.
  6. Serve hot, drizzled with marinara sauce and sprinkled with additional Parmesan cheese, if desired.

Notes

Don't overmix the meat mixture to keep the meatballs tender. Feel free to add variations with different herbs and spices to personalize the flavor.
