Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- If using large strawberries, chop them into smaller pieces. Mix all your berries in a bowl and set them aside.
- Tear the croissants into bite-sized pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them together. Add the milk, sugar, and vanilla extract, then whisk until well combined.
- Gently fold the mixed berries into the custard mixture. Pour this blend over the croissant pieces.
Baking
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the custard is set and the top is lightly golden.
- Once done, allow it to cool for a few minutes, dust with powdered sugar if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
Use day-old croissants for better soaking. Feel free to mix in different berries or add nuts/seeds for extra texture. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
