  1. Prepare your honey syrup: Combine equal parts honey and hot water in a small bowl or jar, stirring until the honey dissolves completely. Allow it to cool.
  2. Gather your ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, add 2 ounces of gin, 3/4 ounce of fresh lemon juice, and 3/4 ounce of your prepared honey syrup.
  3. Shake it up: Fill your cocktail shaker with ice cubes, seal it tightly, and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well-chilled.
  4. Strain and serve: Use a strainer to pour the cocktail into a chilled coupe or cocktail glass, ensuring the ice does not make its way into the glass.
  5. Garnish: Add a lemon wheel or twist to the top for that extra touch of elegance—enjoy!
