  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • to garnish Fresh parsley, chopped

Method

Cooking Noodles and Searing Beef
  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add a drizzle of oil. Sear the beef slices in batches until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
Sautéing Vegetables
  1. In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sliced mushrooms. Sauté until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
Making the Sauce
  1. Sprinkle the flour over the vegetables and stir until coated. Gradually add in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Bring to a simmer.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Reduce heat to low and stir in the sour cream until well combined. Add the beef back to the skillet and heat through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serving
  1. Spoon the creamy beef mixture over the egg noodles and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Pair with a side of crisp green salad tossed in a light vinaigrette. Consider roasted vegetables, garlic bread, or buttery dinner rolls for accompaniment.
