  • 1 pound beef (thinly sliced, preferably flank or sirloin) Use thinly sliced beef for tender results.
  • 2 large bell peppers (sliced, any color)
  • 1 large onion (sliced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Check for Halal compliance.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation
  1. Start by slicing the beef, bell peppers, and onion.
  2. Ensure the beef is thinly sliced for tender results.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced beef to the skillet in a single layer. Season it with salt and pepper. Let it cook for about 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally until it begins to brown.
  3. Just before the beef is fully cooked, add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional minute.
  4. Toss in the sliced bell peppers and onion. Stir everything together, cooking for an additional 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are just tender and vibrant.
  5. Drizzle the soy sauce over the beef and vegetables, give it a good stir, and let it cook for another 1-2 minutes to combine the flavors.
  6. Transfer your delicious beef sauté to a serving dish, and enjoy with steamed rice or warm bread.

Notes

Store well in the fridge for 3-4 days in an airtight container. You can also freeze it for up to three months. Reheat in a skillet over medium heat for best results.
