  • 1 pound beef (flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced) Thinly sliced against the grain for tenderness
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For sautéing
  • 1 medium onion (sliced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup mixed bell peppers (sliced)
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley optional for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the beef as thinly as possible against the grain to ensure tenderness.
  2. Slice the onion, bell peppers, and broccoli.
Cooking
  1. In a large pan or skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the sliced onion and sauté for about 2-3 minutes until translucent. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  3. Add the beef to the pan, spread it evenly, and cook for about 4-5 minutes until browned and no longer pink.
  4. Add bell peppers and broccoli, then sprinkle with black pepper, cumin, and salt. Stir to combine.
  5. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until vegetables are tender but still vibrant. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot alongside your main dish.

Notes

Substitute chicken or tofu for a different protein option. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days in the refrigerator, or freeze for up to two months.
