Have you ever craved a meal that is both flavorful and feels like a warm hug? Look no further than Beef and Broccoli! This delightful stir-fry combines tender beef with fresh broccoli in a savory garlic sauce that’ll have your taste buds dancing.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of beef flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups of broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves of garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon of ginger grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prep the Beef: Start by slicing the beef thinly against the grain. This ensures it stays tender during cooking.
  • Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes while you prepare the broccoli.
  • Blanch the Broccoli: Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and blanch them for about 2 minutes until bright green. Drain and set aside.
  • Cook the Beef: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef in a single layer. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned and just cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, add the remaining oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  • Combine Everything: Return the cooked beef to the skillet, along with the blanched broccoli. Toss to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve: Plate it up over rice or noodles, and enjoy!
