  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded Use leftover or rotisserie chicken for convenience
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce Choose your favorite BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup ranch dressing Can use homemade ranch dressing if desired
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or any cheese of your choice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup cooked rice or pasta (optional) Add for a more filling dish
  • to taste green onions for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, BBQ sauce, ranch dressing, garlic powder, onion powder, and if desired, cooked rice or pasta. Mix until everything is well coated.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  4. Top with a generous layer of shredded cheese, allowing it to melt beautifully during baking.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  2. Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
  3. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for longer storage. Thaw overnight in the fridge and reheat in the oven before serving.
