Preparation
- Shred or dice the cooked chicken and mix it with the BBQ sauce in a small bowl until well-coated.
Assembly
- Take one slice of bread and layer half of the cheese on it.
- Evenly distribute the BBQ chicken mixture over the cheese.
- Top with any optional ingredients, followed by the remaining cheese, and place the other slice of bread on top.
Cooking
- Preheat your skillet over medium heat, adding in a tablespoon of butter.
- Once melted, carefully place your assembled sandwich onto the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Flip it gently, adding more butter if necessary, and grill the other side for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is fully melted.
Serving
- Remove the sandwich from the skillet once both sides are crispy and golden brown.
- Let it cool for a minute, slice in half, and enjoy your BBQ Chicken Grilled Cheese!
