  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce (your preferred flavor)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for grilling)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Shred or dice the cooked chicken and mix it with the BBQ sauce in a small bowl until well-coated.
Assembly
  1. Take one slice of bread and layer half of the cheese on it.
  2. Evenly distribute the BBQ chicken mixture over the cheese.
  3. Top with any optional ingredients, followed by the remaining cheese, and place the other slice of bread on top.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your skillet over medium heat, adding in a tablespoon of butter.
  2. Once melted, carefully place your assembled sandwich onto the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown.
  3. Flip it gently, adding more butter if necessary, and grill the other side for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is fully melted.
Serving
  1. Remove the sandwich from the skillet once both sides are crispy and golden brown.
  2. Let it cool for a minute, slice in half, and enjoy your BBQ Chicken Grilled Cheese!
