Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce your favorite brand or homemade
  • 8 small corn tortillas
Toppings and Garnish
  • 1 cup diced onions for a flavorful crunch
  • 1 cup chopped fresh cilantro for that fresh pop
  • 1 piece avocado, diced optional for creaminess
  • 1 piece lime cut into wedges for added zest
  • to taste salt and pepper

Method

Cooking the Beef
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Pour in the barbecue sauce, stirring well to coat the beef. Let it simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
Preparing the Tortillas
  1. In another skillet or directly over a gas flame, warm the corn tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.
Assembling Tacos
  1. Start with a generous scoop of barbecue beef on each tortilla. Top with diced onions, fresh cilantro, and avocado if desired. Squeeze fresh lime juice on top for an extra kick.
Serving
  1. Serve immediately and enjoy these delicious tacos with family and friends!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat on stovetop for best flavor. Fresh tortillas are best enjoyed immediately.
