Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth.
- In another bowl, prepare the instant vanilla pudding mix according to the package instructions, using 3 cups of milk. Mix well until it thickens.
- Fold the cream cheese mixture into the prepared pudding until it’s well blended.
Layering
- In a serving dish, start by layering vanilla wafers on the bottom.
- Add a layer of banana slices followed by a layer of the cream cheese-pudding mixture.
- Repeat the layering until all ingredients are used.
Topping and Chilling
- Top the dish with whipped cream and, if desired, additional banana slices.
- Refrigerate for a few hours to allow the flavors to meld before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3-4 days. For best texture, assemble layers just before serving to keep the wafers from getting too soggy.
