Ingredients

Dough Ingredients
  • 2 pieces ripe bananas, mashed Make sure your bananas are perfectly ripe for the best flavor.
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder Ensure it's fresh for the best results.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Stir until well mixed.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the mashed bananas, melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Pour this mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until combined, but avoid overmixing—lumps are okay!
  4. On a floured surface, knead the dough gently until smooth, then roll out the dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
  5. Spread a mixture of brown sugar and extra cinnamon across the surface of the dough.
  6. Starting from one side, roll the dough tightly into a log, then cut it into even sections (around 2 inches each) for the rolls.
Baking
  1. Place the rolls in a greased baking pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until they are beautifully golden brown.
  2. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These rolls can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-5 days. They also freeze well, lasting up to 2 months. To reheat, microwave for about 15-20 seconds or heat in the oven at 350°F (175°C).
