Preparation
- Start by washing and peeling your carrots. Slice them into sticks of equal size (around 1/4-1/2 inch thick) for even cooking.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and honey (if using).
- Add the sliced carrots to the bowl and toss them until evenly coated in the marinade.
Cooking
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the marinated carrots in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
- After 15 minutes, check the carrots for tenderness. If you prefer them softer, let them cook for a few more minutes until they reach your desired consistency.
- Once cooked, transfer the carrots to a serving dish. Drizzle with additional balsamic vinegar if desired, and enjoy!
Notes
Substitutions: If you're out of balsamic vinegar, try using apple cider vinegar. You can also swap honey for maple syrup for a vegan option. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to achieve the best texture.
