Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  3. Whisk the granulated sugar into the melted butter until fully combined.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition, and stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, sift the flour, cocoa powder, and salt together.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet batter, stirring until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips for an extra layer of decadence.
Baking
  1. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  2. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan.
  2. Once cooled, cut into squares and serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
