  • 4 fillets tilapia fillets
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (about 1 lemon)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon slices (for serving)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish lightly with non-stick spray or a little olive oil.
  3. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Stir together and cook for about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Pat your tilapia fillets dry with a paper towel and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  5. Place the seasoned tilapia fillets in the baking dish and pour the lemon butter sauce over them.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 20 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve with lemon slices.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes.
