Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 8 oz Feta cheese Use creamy feta for the best texture.
  • 8-10 pieces Fresh figs, halved Fresh figs are recommended for sweetness.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil Extra virgin olive oil enhances the flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons Honey Use high-quality honey for the best taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh thyme Dried thyme can be used but fresh is preferred.
  • 1 dash Freshly ground black pepper To taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small baking dish, drizzle some olive oil to coat the bottom.
  3. Place the feta cheese in the center of the dish.
  4. Gently nestle the halved figs around the feta.
  5. Drizzle honey over the feta and figs, then sprinkle thyme and black pepper on top.
Baking
  1. Slide your dish into the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes, or until the feta is golden and melty.
Serving
  1. Once finished, take the dish out and let it cool for a minute. Serve warm with bread.

Notes

For substitutions, grapes or pears can replace figs. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
