- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Let them sit for a few minutes.
- In a shallow dish, mix breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Spray each piece of chicken with olive oil spray and dip them into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring they are well coated.
Baking
- Place the coated chicken breasts onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for about 20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and spoon marinara sauce over each piece. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Return to the oven for another 10 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.
Serving
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with a side salad or over pasta.
Notes
For added texture, substitute breadcrumbs with crushed whole-grain crackers. Ensure you don't overcook the chicken to keep it juicy. Store in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
