- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Increase heat to medium-high and add ground beef, cooking until browned (about 5-7 minutes), breaking it into crumbles.
- Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper; mix until beef is well coated. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- While beef cooks, warm taco shells according to package instructions.
- Assemble tacos by filling each shell with the seasoned beef and topping with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and sour cream.
- Serve immediately while warm.
Notes
For a leaner option, use ground turkey or chicken. Do not overcrowd the skillet to achieve good browning of the meat. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
