Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13 inch baking dish with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well mixed. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form a crust.
- In another bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Pour this cheesecake batter over the graham cracker crust.
- In a separate bowl, toss the sliced apples with cinnamon and flour until coated evenly. Spread the apple mixture over the cheesecake layer.
- In a bowl, mix oats, brown sugar, and additional flour. Add melted butter and mix until crumbly. Sprinkle this mixture over the apples.
Baking
- Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the cheesecake has set slightly.
Cooling and Serving
- Allow cooling completely before cutting into bars. Serve plain or with toppings such as ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
For the best flavor experience, allow the bars to cool completely before slicing. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
