Ingredients
  

For the Crust
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs Use finely crushed crumbs for better texture.
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted Melted for ease of mixing.
For the Cheesecake Filling
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for smooth blending.
  • 1 cup sugar Granulated sugar.
  • 2 large eggs Room temperature for better incorporation.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Pure vanilla extract recommended.
For the Apple Layer
  • 3 cups apples, peeled, cored, and sliced About 4 medium-sized apples.
  • 1 tsp cinnamon Ground cinnamon for flavor.
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour To coat the apples.
For the Streusel Topping
  • 1/2 cup oats Old-fashioned oats recommended.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar Light or dark brown sugar works.
  • 1/4 cup flour Additional flour for crumb texture.
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted To mix with the streusel ingredients.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13 inch baking dish with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well mixed. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form a crust.
  3. In another bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Pour this cheesecake batter over the graham cracker crust.
  4. In a separate bowl, toss the sliced apples with cinnamon and flour until coated evenly. Spread the apple mixture over the cheesecake layer.
  5. In a bowl, mix oats, brown sugar, and additional flour. Add melted butter and mix until crumbly. Sprinkle this mixture over the apples.
Baking
  1. Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the cheesecake has set slightly.
Cooling and Serving
  1. Allow cooling completely before cutting into bars. Serve plain or with toppings such as ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

For the best flavor experience, allow the bars to cool completely before slicing. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
