Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the diced apples, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.
Baking
  1. Drop dollops of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  2. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  3. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  4. Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
