Ingredients

For the Apple Filling
  • 2 medium medium-sized apples (peeled, cored, and diced) Choose apples that maintain their shape when baked, like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon butter (melted)
For the Bombs
  • 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • to taste Caramel sauce (for drizzling) Optional, for serving.
  • to taste Powdered sugar (for dusting) Optional, for serving.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the diced apples, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, lemon juice, and melted butter. Stir until the apples are well coated and set aside for a few minutes.
  3. Unroll the refrigerated crescent roll dough onto a clean surface and separate it into triangles.
Assembly and Baking
  1. Place a spoonful of the apple mixture (about 1-2 tablespoons) on the wide end of each dough triangle. Roll the dough tightly around the filling, pinching the ends to seal.
  2. Arrange the bombs on a lined baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
Serving
  1. Allow the bombs to cool for a few minutes, drizzle with caramel sauce, and dust with powdered sugar. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Watch the bake time closely to prevent over-browning. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 5-7 minutes.
