  • #### **Step 1: Cook the Apples**
  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add diced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  • Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until apples soften.
  • Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract, and set aside.
  • #### **Step 2: Make the Cake Batter**
  • Preheat oven to **350°F (175°C)** and grease a 9x9-inch baking pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well, then stir in vanilla extract.
