Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined, avoiding overmixing.
- Gently fold in the diced apples until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- While the bread is baking, mix the powdered sugar and milk in a small bowl until smooth to create the glaze.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Drizzle the glaze over the warm bread before slicing.
Notes
For a dairy-free version, substitute coconut oil for butter and use almond milk for the glaze. Store wrapped tightly at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. To reheat, microwave slices for 10-15 seconds.
