  • 2 cups diced fresh fruits (such as oranges, pineapple, berries, and bananas) Choose a mix of contrasting flavors.
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup sour cream Use for creaminess.
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional) Chopped and toasted adds crunch.
  • 1/4 cup maraschino cherries (for garnish) Add for a splash of color.

Preparation
  1. Start by washing and chopping your fresh fruits into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add the diced fruits, mini marshmallows, shredded coconut, and sour cream. If you’re using chopped nuts, toss those in as well.
  3. Gently fold all the ingredients together using a spatula until everything is coated evenly in sour cream.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
  5. When you’re ready to serve, scoop the Ambrosia Fruit Salad into individual bowls and top with maraschino cherries.

Notes

Enjoy the salad fresh. It can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days but is best eaten right away. For customizing, consider using strawberries, blueberries, or kiwi.
