Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, gently toss the fresh blueberries with 1/4 cup of brown sugar and reserve the other 1/4 cup for topping.
- In another bowl, combine oats, the remaining brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt. Drizzle in the melted butter and mix until crumbly.
- Spread the blueberries evenly in a baking dish and layer the oat mixture on top.
Baking
- Bake for around 30-35 minutes until the topping is golden and the blueberries are bubbling.
- Let it cool for a bit before serving.
- Serve with whipped cream, ice cream, or yogurt.
Notes
For best results, don’t pack the blueberries too tightly and allow cooling time to meld the flavors. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for 2 months.
