  • 1 cup rolled oats Use gluten-free oats for gluten-free version.
  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk You can use milk of choice.
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder Adjust to taste for more chocolate flavor.
  • 1-2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey Sweetness can be adjusted according to preference.
  • 1/4 cup shredded unsweetened coconut Gives the oats a nice texture and flavor.
  • 1/4 cup chopped almonds Provides crunch and nuttiness.
  • Optional toppings: more almonds, coconut, dark chocolate chips, or fresh fruits Customize your oats as desired.

Preparation
  1. In a medium-sized bowl or jar, combine the rolled oats, cocoa powder, and shredded coconut. Give it a good mix!
  2. Pour in the coconut milk and add the sweetener (maple syrup or honey). Stir until everything is well combined.
  3. Fold in the chopped almonds to the oat mixture.
  4. Cover your jar or bowl and refrigerate overnight (or at least 4-6 hours) to allow the oats to soak up all those delicious flavors!
  5. When ready to enjoy, give it a good stir, and add any additional toppings you desire – perhaps some extra almonds or a sprinkle of dark chocolate.

Notes

Almond Joy Overnight Oats can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Just ensure they are sealed tightly to lock in freshness. They are best enjoyed cold but can also be warmed if preferred.
