  • 5 pieces almond croissants Use freshly baked for best flavor.
  • 1 cup almond milk Make sure it's halal-certified.
  • 3 pieces eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar Ensure halal-certified.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Topping
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds Adds a delightful crunch.
  • to taste powdered sugar For dusting before serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  2. Tear the almond croissants into bite-sized pieces and place them evenly in the baking dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the almond milk, eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract until well blended.
  4. Pour the custard mixture over the croissant pieces and allow it to soak for about 10 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle the sliced almonds on top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar and serving warm.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Can freeze portions for up to a month. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
