Ingredients

Pasta
  • 8 ounces spaghetti Cooked until al dente.
Sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream Adds richness to the sauce.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese For that classic cheese flavor.
  • 3 cloves garlic Minced, for aromatic flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For sautéing and added flavor.
  • Salt and pepper To taste.
Toppings
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese For the gooey topping.
  • 1 cup cooked chicken or mixed vegetables Optional, but adds heartiness.
  • Chopped fresh parsley For garnish (optional).

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook until al dente, following package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a light simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. In a big mixing bowl, combine the cooked spaghetti, Alfredo sauce, and any optional ingredients like chicken or vegetables. Mix until well-coated.
Baking
  1. Pour the spaghetti mixture into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly on top.
  2. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  3. Once out of the oven, let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

Consider using whole wheat spaghetti for a healthier option. Keep an eye on baking time and avoid overcooking the spaghetti initially.
