Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 medium zucchinis, sliced thinly (about 1/4 inch thick) The thinner you slice, the crispier they’ll become!
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt (plus more to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash the zucchinis thoroughly. Cut both ends off and slice them into thin rounds, about 1/4 inch thick.
  2. Place the sliced zucchini in a bowl. Drizzle the olive oil over the slices and toss well until they’re evenly coated.
  3. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the zucchini, followed by salt and pepper. Mix well to ensure each slice is coated.
  4. Set the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and let it preheat for a couple of minutes.
Cooking
  1. Place the zucchini slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding.
  2. Air fry for about 8-10 minutes, checking halfway through and shaking the basket for even browning.
  3. Once the chips are golden brown and crispy, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool on a wire rack. Continue frying the remaining zucchini slices.
Serving
  1. Serve your Air Fryer Zucchini Chips with Parmesan immediately for the best crunch. Enjoy them as is, or pair them with your favorite dipping sauce!

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different types of cheese, but stick to Halal-friendly options only. Ensure zucchini slices are uniformly cut for even cooking. Pat them dry with a paper towel before seasoning to discard excess moisture. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days or frozen for a month, and reheated in an air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
